Energy and Environment
concerns such as climate change, global warming, trans-boundary impacts of energy use, biodiversity conservation, deforestation, etc are global in character. Such problems have now become major political issues and subjects of international debate as they are threatening the very survival of life on the planet. In order to address these multifaceted challenges in maintaining Mother Earth as a magnificent abode for all living beings, a need for an international conference dedicated to energy and environmental issues was strongly felt. Hence, ENVIROENERGY 2009.

An International Conference on Energy and Environment, EnviroEnergy 2009, is being conducted by the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, India. The Conference aims at addressing the challenges in the emerging areas of energy and environment to achieve sustainable development. The Conference, EnviroEnergy 2009, shall provide a useful forum to academicians, technologists, entrepreneurs and policy makers worldwide for exchange of concepts and emerging technologies in the fields of energy and environment. It shall include a highly focussed technical program consisting of presentations on regular and specialized tracks at the intersection of business and technology; exhibits of new products, technologies and solutions from academia and industry. The Conference shall attempt to evolve an agenda for environmental policies, identification of green technologies and their subsequent implementation for sustainable development.

"Believed to be unique, this magnificent dwelling has been sadly neglected in recent years. Some outstanding features have been lost. However, it still offers an exceptional home to those prepared to maintain it with care."
